Voidpilots Dispatch #27: Sample Review Completed

Greetings Voidpilots!
We've completed our review of the production samples, mostly by playing a bunch of games! We're very happy with the results.
After testing the game and carefully reviewing everything, we requested only three changes before mass production begins:
- A minor rulebook edit to improve clarity (which we've already approved).
- An adjustment to the dice coloring to reduce the amount of gray and allow more of the purple coloration to show through.
- A small modification to the base game box insert so that sleeved cards fit a little better.
Overall, the quality of the samples exceeded our expectations. It's hard to put into words just how excited we are with how everything turned out.
Along with submitting our requested production modifications, we've also signed the final production quote with our manufacturing partner.
Once we've reviewed the finished modifications, we'll move into the next phase of production.

Greetings Voidpilots!
The samples have arrived! Everything is looking great.
This was our first opportunity to see and handle every component together. We've made our initial review of each item. These samples are full production quality and so far, we’re very pleased with how everything turned out. (We're not done reviewing yet! We still need to go through everything very carefully.)
Here's some highlights.

Cards, dice, rulebook, and tokens look great. Based on our initial review, print quality, card weight, color, readability, and finish are exactly where we want them.

The Pirate Expansion is a whole new way to play the game, and promises a faster, conflict-heavy playthrough!

Additional Rewards and Upgrades
The logbook, dice cup, dice bag, dice, and card sleeves all look and work great.

One extra surprise we’re excited about: the dice set includes all of the game dice, along with additional dice so you can use them to play other games.
What's Next
We're going to review the samples with a fine-toothed comb to identify anything we missed in our excitement so far. Once we've approved the samples, we'll move into the next phase of production.

Our production samples are complete and are shipping now to the United States! We expect the package to arrive sometime next week.
These are full production samples and include the base game and all of the rewards. This is our first opportunity to see everything, hold it, and most importantly, review each item carefully for any final changes.

Voidpilots Dispatch #24: E-Proofs Approved!

Hi everyone,
We've got some quick and exciting news to share:
We've approved our E-Proofs!
Our manufacturer generated e-proofs for the game, which gave us our first full look for how everything will come together in the game's final production format. This is a pretty important step in the process, and we went through each component carefully to confirm layouts, formatting, and overall presentation. Next step is samples!
A Little Preview
These are pre-production digital proofs, so minor adjustments may still occur before final samples. As always, we want to recognize and thank Abram Buck for the incredible artwork he put together for the game.

Sample Ship Card (featuring card layout, artwork, formatting, and iconography). Final cards will be trimmed slightly on all edges.
Base game markers (punch-out components with alignment and cut lines)
We went through proofs for the base game and all additional rewards, and it's been great seeing everything come together in its final production format. We're definitely excited for physical samples.

Voidpilots Dispatch #23: Tariffs Ruled Illegal – Production Moving Ahead!

Hi everyone,
We finally have some very big news.
Tariff Update: Stability Is Back!
The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled the previous tariff framework illegal.
While the administration continues to use tariffs in the short term, they are now capped at 15% and must receive Congressional approval after 150 days. In practical terms, this restores the predictability and guardrails that were missing before.
This is the moment we’ve been waiting for. After months of uncertainty and careful monitoring, we're moving forward with confidence!
Manufacturing Status
Our updated/finalized files have been submitted to our manufacturer and we've selected things like dice and other components. The manufacturer is currently observing a major holiday, so we'll reconnect with them on their return. We expect we'll go through the proofing/sample pass then get the final production and shipping schedule. We’ll share another update once we've put that together.
It feels great to be able to finally turn the page on the tariff situation and focus fully on getting Voidpilot’s Legacy into production.
